Regarding Your Recent Tax Bill

The tax bill you received is based on the 2025 assessed value of your property. These values were published on August 6, 2025. Property owners had a 30-day period, from August 6, 2025, through September 8, 2025, to contest their assessment if they believed it was overvalued.

Will County applied a 9.95% multiplier to ALL residential properties in Wheatland Township. This increase was published in the Naperville Sun and did not generate individual notice!

The appeal window is now closed.

The 2026 assessments (tax bills payable in 2027) will be published on August 12, 2026.

The 30-day appeal window will be available from August 12, 2026, through September 14, 2026. Please check back here starting August 12 for directions on how to appeal your assessment, beginning with our office.

For any other non-assessment questions related to your tax bill, please contact the Will County Treasurer’s Office directly.
